Diary of a Mad History Teacher
The Diary of a Mad History Teacher blog was created as another tool to use in the instruction of my history classes. Students in high schools today are part of the technological generation. Blogging is one more way to incorporate technology into instruction. Blog on!!!!!

Remarkable Week
Truly one of the more memorable weeks of my life. Being in Washington for Tuesday's State of the Union Address and speaking with Secretary of Education Arne Duncan was remarkable. The forum that I attended was covered live on the White House website. You can watch it via the following link:

If you forward to the 49:00 mark that is when Secretary Duncan arrived and I was given an opportunity to address an education concern with him!

The White House on Tuesday
Scholars and former scholars:
I will be at the White House on Tuesday for the State of the Union Address. I have been chosen to participate in what is known as a Tweetup. After the address, administration officials will meet with us to take questions that have come in from our Twitter followers. You can also participate by watching the State of Union Address and then tweeting me with your questions. If you are on Twitter you can tweet me at @historyteach. You should include hashtags #WHTweetup and #SOTU.
